This was the site of the Cherokee encampment on the Trail of Tears. You may want to visit our other tours, Trail of Tears Memorial and Interpretive Trail which was a partnered project with the National Park Service. Within that tour, you will walk the 1-mile concrete pathway that winds alongside the Roubidoux River from the boardwalk that goes over "Big Spring" also known as Roubidoux Spring" to the Waynesville City Park.
This point of interest is part of the tour: Waynesville Downtown Walking Tour
