This is the only Tudor Revival style house in the historic district. The steep side roof with its prominent front gables and the multi-pane casement windows are classic Tudor features. The gold-colored, randomly coursed cut stone walls are unusual and provide contrast to the limestone trim. The main entry is enhanced by a Tudor-arched surround with leaf carving. Inside, the living room features built-in bookcases and wall sconce lighting throughout. The second story has a private porch overlooking the back yard.

Charles Geake was born in 1879, and the following year, his father founded the Charles H. Geake Stone Company. This family company supplied stone for several structures in Fort Wayne include masonic buildings, high schools, the old Allen County Public Library, and churches. Charles took over ownership of the company and built this home in 1938 with his wife Goldie. He died at the age of 82 while still residing here. Goldie Geake authored Studies in Nature and Some Pages from Nature's Book of Insect Life for the Girl Scouts. The former is still available at the Allen County Public Library. She died in 1975.

The next stop is next door.
