Masterfully crafted in 1875 with hand-hewn beams, this one-of-a-kind house exhibits architectural details associated with the Italianate style. Characteristic elements featured on this house include its hipped roof form and window hoods over the second-floor windows on the front facade. The portico with four fluted pillars was a later addition.
Early residents included James Bowers and George Russell, who lived here for several years. They both worked as finishers for N.G. Olds & Sons, which manufactured carriage wheels, seats, and plow handles.
The house recently underwent a complete restructuring with all new floor joists, subfloor, flooring, and siding. Inside, you'll find soaring ceilings, custom stained glass windows, a second-story deck, and a modern open floor plan. The tower on top of the house acts as a giant skylight for the upstairs bathroom.
