Information

Built in the early 1800s this Federal-style brick dwelling is sandwiched between two dissimilar structures like many on East Church Street. It features several classical details across the façade. One's eyes are drawn to the elegant entrance on the west side of the structure. A three-step stoop leads to a six panel door framed immediately by elongated pilasters topped by corbels. Four small window panes line the sides of the door and a three paned transom window tops the door. Doric pilasters, simple entablature and cornice complete the entrance. A second door topped by fretwork marks the eastern side of the structures. Two six over six sash windows topped by an entablature and flanked by shutters like between the doors and four line the second floor. The house is topped by a large cornice supported by regularly spaced brackets.
