A harness shop was like an auto mechanic, but before there were cars. At this location, Chauncey Mead sold, fitted, and maintained horse harnesses. In 1883, it became a dress shop owned by Gerie Mead. It then became a gas station in 1927. If you look closely and use your imagination, you can almost imagine what it would look like.
