The Crescent Building stands today as Ithaca's oldest surviving movie palace structure. Built in 1916 as the Crescent Theater, it was designed by the local architectural firm of Gibb & Waltz. The building, which retains its original clay tile roof, has been used as a movie theater, dance hall, gymnasium, night club, and currently as office space.
