This culvert area, including a culvert pipe, is located below the Berryman-South Reservoir and Garber Park. It is the first place where you can see the exposed Harwood (Claremont) Creek along this path. The banks of the creek are heavily overgrown with common ivy. The creek was culverted in the 1930s when the Caldecott Tunnel was built, burying the creek below Highway 24. This part of the creek was renamed from Harwood Creek to Claremont Creek.
