Point of Interest Details

From East Hill looking down Seneca Street towards downtown Ithaca today, you get a similar, yet very different, view of this city almost 200 years after this image was recorded. Can you find the Clinton House (in the image) a few blocks down Seneca Street on the left? This lithograph was created 4 years after that historic structure was opened to the public as a hotel in 1832. Anything else look the same? Different?

Artist: Henry Walton. Reproduced from an original lithograph in the collection of the Cornell University Library.
