The Grand Pacific Hotel (formerly the Dougherty Hotel), the oldest commercial building in Olmsted Falls, was built here in 1858. It was originally owned by former mayor Thomas Brown. In 1893, Peltz and Simmerer used this building as their hardware store before it was fixed up to hold banquets.
