Three model trains run through a recreation of Fargo and Moorhead in the 1950’s in this former train depot from Kathryn, ND. The model trains, which activate as soon as someone enters the depot, and the model city which they run through, are operated by the Spud Valley Model Railroad Club which has existed for more than 50 years (https://www.facebook.com/spudvalleymrc/).The model of the FM area has more than 400 feet of track and offers a glimpse of how the cities have changed since the 1950’s.
Kathryn ND is a small town with a population averaging 50 or so citizens since its founding in 1900, when the town was named by a Railroad man after his daughter.
