Point of Interest Details

Walk towards the store and look up to the second floor to find our next stop.

This painting is yet another work Frederick Brewster commissioned Louis Agassiz Fuertes to create for his private library in New Haven, Connecticut. It depicts a Peregrine Falcon, renowned for its incredible speed and hunting stoop, striking its prey mid-air. One of many of Fuertes’ expeditions included a stop at Fisher’s Island, New York, which he has chosen for the setting of this piece.
