Building 36

This combined Quartermasters and Engineers Storhouse is the largest building on the island. It once housed all the supplies and materials needed to keep the fort runnning smoothly and self-sufficiently. A loading platform once stretched aron the U-shaped courtyard. Large doors on the water side, and freight elevator within the building facilitated the movement of goods to various parts of the fort.

For a lovely view of Georges Island, and the Boston skyline beyond Long Island, take a short walk down the path to the water.
