Victory Grill

Austin soul songstress Lavelle White, Victory Grill founder Johnny Holmes, and pianist Roosevelt "Grey Ghost" Williams have graced the side of legendary restaurant and music venue Victory Grill since the traveling Trust Your Struggle artist collective put up the mural in 2008.

The work is meant to commemorate the musical history of the space, which has hosted such names as James Brown, B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Etta James, Billie Holliday, Bobby Bland, and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, as part of the "Chitlin' Circuit" of the 1950s.
