Vidar Axel Haaland
WATERCOLOR: Light, air, figure, landscape, memory, impression and love
Vidar has been exploring watercolor painting since 1977. He is inspired by the beauty of the local area and is also interested in interiors, figures, and memories. Probably most known for his paintings of white buildings and the color that sings from the blue shadows, he is always exploring other subjects and styles of painting, as well as changing up his color palette. While most of his work is based on the observation of light and its affect on color, he also enjoys depicting scenes of human interaction with warmth, humor, and affection. Many themes of his work have persisted over the years, but prepare to be surprised by something new.
