Tour Information

Tour begins on E 3rd St in Downtown Austin and ends on N Lamar Blvd.

Tourist has the option of paying for a city scooter to get to the further points as an alternative to walking 10 blocks.

When it comes to paranormal activity most people experience it through watching horror films, on ghost tours, in haunted houses or notoriously haunted historical places. However, what if you could drink and eat right alongside some of Austin, Texas’ most famous ghosts? Austin has a long, and interesting history formed throughout the years that has made it into the great, bustling city that it is today. Visiting the Capitol Grounds, you can see Austin’s history in the monuments and plaques that are scattered around the Grounds and when you walk in the Downtown area you can see some of the great historical markers that give this great city its old charm.

But, there’s a darker layer to Austin’s history that involves the paranormal ancestors of the city who don’t seem to want to leave their homes quite yet. While there are plenty of ghost stories for many of Austin’s great sites, this tour is one that will be sure to give you chills while sipping on a chilled drink. You might need some liquid courage to get through this spooky bar crawl.

Have a drink with the ghost that haunts Buffalo Billiards and listen to the stories of the staff at Moonshine Bar and Grill about the ghosts that like to wreak havoc after hours. This ghost tour will show you that even if you think that you're just on a fun night out with friends… there might be someone else from the past joining you. If you feel a breeze go through the room at the Clay Pit restaurant on 16th Street it may not be because of an open window but rather one of the members of the late Bertram family whom the property once belonged to. When heading over to The Tavern on 12th Street you’ll feel a chill down your spine as you enter the top level and hear of the eerie discoveries that are sure to leave goosebumps down your arms. You’ll also get to go inside of one of Austin’s most beautiful buildings which is located right on the infamous 6th street, The Driskill Hotel, and learn about its paranormal activity. Here you’ll be able to enjoy happy hour with ease as the bar is ‘seemingly’ safe from paranormal activity, but then wander the hotel and hear the stories that gave the Driskill it’s infamous title as one of Austin’s most haunted sites. Learn about some of Austin’s history with a spooky twist and some delicious snacks and drinks.

Remember, even some of the most fun and lively places around town can have a dark past that hasn’t quite let go yet…
