Dedicated on June 15, 1902. Statue given by Joseph Stickler and his wife Charolotte Snell Stickler, a descendant of Jacob Snell. Their son Major Abraham Snell Born July 5, 1784 was the 1st white child born in Athens was nurtured when Tioga Point was still regarded as under the rule of the Six National Confederacy.
