The Victorian home was built by Dr. Strickland for his family in 1887. In the 1950's it became the home of J.A. Green, President of the Telephone Company and son of J.C. Green, Mayor of Thomasville in 1911 and 1919-21, and founder of J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home.
