This home is one of only three examples in Thomasville of the "Airplace Bungalow" Style built in the 1920's. Built by L.A. Kress, a Lithuanian Jewish immigrant who came to America at the turn of the century. The Kress family owned and operated a popular clothing store at 34 West Main Street for many years.
