The Kersey Coates Reed House is one of David Adler’s finest works finished in 1931. It is built of Pennsylvania mica stone, which has a shiny slate look rarely seen in Chicago
The estate is named after its first owner, Helen Shedd Reed, daughter of John G. Shedd, second president of Marshall Field & Co.
