Carolyn photographs her subject-matter on site, then composes and paints in her studio. She is attracted by large scale structures such as bridges, as marvels of engineering that are built to integrate people with the landscape. She uses a bold color palette, far removed from the grays of concrete and steel, to enliven her art and bring the viewer into places seldom noticed.
The gravel road to my studio passes fields and through woods before emerging at your destination. Keep coming! Free cucumbers, in season. Plenty of parking.
