The Walton- Hughes home was built in 1922 by Mr. Thomas J riddle for his son Harry. Harry and his father worked as bankers and live next door to each other. Both riddle families left the Madison area in the 1920s.
In 1926 Mr. Walton Hughes bought the property. Mr. Hughes was the owner and pharmacist at the Humphrey Hughes drug company on Main Street for 50 years. The home is a Gothic structure with a bungalow porch. it is one of the two homes in the district where they Cupola on the top. today the home is owned by Mr. Carl Sampieri.
