This home was built late in the Victorian period, 1888-1889. It contains original beveled glass entrance doors, shingles on the front gable, and a one story partial-width front porch. The Victorian detailing is timid with very small roof brackets and modest spindlework of the porch frieze and ballustrade.
It was built by Mr. John Dahlke, a prominent lawyer in Warren County, and his father-in-law, Mr. Jacob Trester. In 1933 it was occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dahlke and was passed on to the great-niece of Mrs. Charles Dahlke, whose family are the current owners.
