The sculptures range from tabletop, wall hanging to small and large outdoor kinetic pieces. With over thirty years making things for people, Whitmore does many commissions, including railings and other functional work. The materials are mostly steel and stainless steel, with some glass and wood. Maybe you can find something special for your home!

Cali has been learning about and teaching ceramics for years. She has also worked in and supported a number of arts, educational, and social justice organizations and brings a lens of nature, community and connection to her work. Her ceramics can be seen in galleries and art festivals around the country.

The natural landscape and beauty are significant inspiration for Cali’s ceramics. She is especially influenced by time walking in the woods, through the marsh, and along the shore. She is drawn to the patterns, colors, forms and contrasts found there. Cali enjoys the challenge of creating simple forms in clay, particularly vessels, platters, and tiles and then exploring more expressive surfaces. She plays with slips, glazes, resists, printing, pouring, and even finger painting to achieve results. Some of her work reveals recognizable images and patterns from the landscape while others are more abstracted. She hopes her work brings a sense of love and respect for place. Her pieces are intended for everyday use, and she uses food safe materials on all her work.

This location will also showcase SCA sculptor, Whitmore Boogaerts both weekends. The studios are a 1/4 mile from the Bayside Restaurant.
