Year Built: 1926
Architecture Style: French Revival
Key Features:
This country French revival home was built in 1926, at the same time as the Federalist Revival home across the street. The Indianapolis Star featured a photo of it the same year it was built. It was originally owned by the Vice President of the American Fletcher National Bank, and like the Shooks and other early residents on the street, they lived here for several decades.
The Watson Park Neighborhood Association has developed a simple marketing theme, Triple A, standing for affordability, accessibility, and architectural diversity. Homes comparable to the ones on Watson Road in either Meridian Park and Meridian-Kessler often sell for many times the prices of homes on Watson Road. The Watson Park neighborhood is a 20- to 25-minute drive to just about any place in the Indianapolis area. Watson Road has been known from the beginning for its architectural diversity.
