WOOD/ACRYLICS/FRAGMENTS: Carved and painted sculptures with found, antique fragments
The wood used varies from freshly cut to reclaimed antique pieces. Colors are influenced by those used in early German Pennsylvania Fraktur paintings. Acrylic paints and early decorative painting techniques are used. A finished piece incorporates wood, acrylics and antique fragments. The subject matter may include animals, people, whales, fish, etc.
