Falley Seminary (1836-1883) was a school in Fulton, and was named after M. E. Falley who gifted the institution 3,000 dollars. It functioned as a preparatory school for girls, and was attended by locals and out of area boarding students. In 1942 the name changed to Fulton Academy and both boys and girls were allowed to enroll at the school. Falley Seminary was torn down, and rebuilt into a much larger school. For many years the new building on the property was Fulton High School, and an administrative building. The building is now closed.
Famous Alumni: Candy Cumming (professional baseball player and creator of the curve ball), Esther Baker Steele (author, philanthropist).
