Following the fire of 1914, this building was home to the Palace of Sweets, a confectionery. It appears in directories at this address until at least 1928 when it became El Patio Sweet Shop. By 1940, it had become El Patio Cafe. In 1952, city directories list the property as Graber's Hardware, which still exists today on W Broadway.
