Susan Cabral photographs the New England coast at sunrise or sunset. These photos help her create her work. Light. shadow and reflections make her want to paint.

The demo will be on going. She will explain the process.

The studio is air conditioned and has a restroom. It is on a dead end street so plenty of parking. A narrow cement walkway leads to the studio. There is a tent and to the right is the studio door.

Jacq's current series of work uses the visuals of cakes to search for one's authentic self. In a consumerist society, people are often pressured to exist for others and not for oneself. Cakes are created for others to enjoy. They are decorative, delicate and sweet. Jacq's work questions; when does the cake exist for itself? How does the cake find its authenticity? To answer these questions, she transforms her cakes, bringing each of them on a journey of self discovery.
