Iria sees her work as a way to get a reaction from herself and the viewer. She wants to encourage a dialogue.

When Iria paints, she thinks of nothing else except what she is doing at that point in time with the paint. It gives her the same calmness as when she is working in her garden. She thinks about color, value, composition and textures just like gardening. The majority of the time she works with acrylic paints. Her paintings can be abstract , semi realistic landscapes, seascapes, and mixed media. She also draws and paints with watercolors.
