6 - Venice Arcades, Columns and Capitals
67-71 Windward Avenue
Constructed in 1904 by Abbot Kinney as part of his Venice-of-America development, and designed by C. H. Russell, the arcades were patterned after those surrounding the Piazza San Marco in Venice Italy and were the visually unifying element of the architectural streetscape.
The Venice Arcades, Columns and Capitals became Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #532 on 4/23/1991.
