805 Circle Drive / Unknown name House / Architect: David Carson who was a long time employee of Charles Haertling / Style: Mies Van Der Rohe / built 1974
David Carson, a former employee of architect Charles Haertling, designed this crisp modern house. It has a simple rectangular shape, flat roof, wood shake siding and a wall of glass in the center section. The European design work of architect Mies Van Der Rohe was a precedent for this simply composed box of a building. The design takes advantage of its sloping site with two floors of rooms facing the street and one floor on the hillside above. The interior is very modern with rooms opening into each other and out to the landscape and views beyond. Carson went on to become a partner in a large design firm in Denver, OZ Architecture.
