9 Norton Lifeguard House 2509 Ocean Front Walk Frank Gehry 1983
EARLY CONTEMPORARY Gehry continued his exploration of creating architecture as a sculptural assemblage of everyday materials, low costs, and sculptural forms with this residence, for a former lifeguard. Gehry called this house his “pride and joy.” It’s probably the most famous house along the Ocean Front Walk.
