Alexander Keyes, the fourth Mayor of Birkenhead Borough Council (1906-1911), built this impressive family house. A good advertisement for the successful local building business operated with his brother William, the two-storey weather-boarded villa with two corner bay windows once dominated a larger property, long since sub-divided.
