This bronze statue features a full-size airplace propeller commemorating Earhart's nonstop transatlantic flight a month earlier. Dedicated on June 27, 1932, Earhart was present for the ceremony. A dinner at Westchester County Club where 600 guests gathered took place in her honor. [1]
The statue was refurbished in 2017 to mark Earhart's 120th birthday and the 80th anniversary of her disappearance.
