Amur Leopards are brown to golden in color with hair that is an inch long in summer, but grows to nearly three inches long in winter. It has widely-spaced spots and a long bushy tail. Nocturnal and solitary by nature, it spends most of its days lounging on tree branches or hiding in thick brushes and rocky outcrops. They can leap up to 20 feet across and ten feed up or down. This agility helps the Amur Leopard carry off and hide its prey so it can’t be taken by another predator.
