The Amur Tiger is the largest of the tiger subspecies. They have the palest orange fur and the fewest stripes out of all tigers. Each tiger’s stripes are unique and act as identifiers. The scruff of fur around its neck helps protect it from the cold. While they generally live alone, they do keep in contact with other tigers through scent marking. They also communicate through scrapes on the grown, claw marks, and vocalizations.
