The Arapawa goat varies in color. Its pied coloring is often found in fawn or mid-brown with a dark line down the spine and black marks on the legs. These goats have flat, curling horns that run parallel to the ground. Their tails are relatively short and it’s common for them to have beards- especially the males. Their prehensile lips allow them to carefully grasp and investigate items. The agile Arapawa goat is adapted to living in a variety of terrain.
