The Asiatic Water Buffalo has a thin face with small ears and two tightly curled horns. They’re dark grey to black with white legs up to their knees. Social by nature, they can found in herds of ten or more. Because they have minimal sweat glands, Water Buffalo are sensitive to heat. They wallow in mud to cool off, but also to prevent insect bites. When no mud is available, they’ll submerge in water with just their eyes and nose above water.
