Beardsley Elementary School

Schools were an important part of Elkhart’s growth as well. Above, you can see a picture of Beardsley Elementary School as it was in 1879. The lot at the intersection of Erwin and Dearborn has served as the location for Beardsley Elementary school since the original structure was built in 1879.
