Big Indian Rocks Fishing Pier

The site you are standing on was the parking lot and patio for the landmark Big Indian Rocks Fishing Pier.

From the time it was built in 1959, the pier was the heart of Indian Rocks Beach. Old guys taught youngsters the finer points of fishing. Chatting with neighbors or silently soaking in the sunset were daily occurrences.

Some remnants of the original pier pilings are still visible at low tide. The pier itself will forever live on in the fond memories of those who enjoyed this captivating place.
