Black Oak (Quercus velutina)

Unity, Maine 04988, United States

Created By: Unity College

Information

This tree is a smaller tree that stands just below the porch and at the end of the driveway of the house on Main st. It also has a bush growing in the same spot as the tree. I love this tree for its leaves. The shape of the leaves on the black oak are long with three notches on either side of the leaves. The fall colors of yellow and red are a nice touch when looking at.
