The Bona Thompson Center is home to the Irvington Historical Society. It is a historic building on the original Butler University campus and was designed by Henry H. Dupont and Jesse T. Johnson. It was constructed in 1903, during the period from 1875 to 1928 when Irvington was the home of Butler University.
Except for the library and former university president's home, Benton House, all the other Butler University buildings in Irvington have been demolished.
