Vila-Real de Santo-António border station Designed by architect Carlos João Chambers Ramos (1897 - 1969), who in 1934 becomes a member of the Customs Works and Barracks Commission of the Republican and Fiscal Guards.
Carlos Ramos was a professor at the architecture school in Porto, which was much more progressive than the architecture school in Lisbon. Carlos Ramos is also called the father of "Modernism" in Portugal.
Architects such as Tavora, Siza and Souto de Moura are the successors of his office practice and.... he was the professor of Manuel Gomes da Costa in Porto during his architecture training .
