This part of the Syracuse area was famous for its specific type of Onondaga brick. Some say that one of the brickyards is haunted by a gargoyle that used to be a statue at one of the buildings that used to stand in the area. People walking the area have reported to have heard strange winds and sounds that only they are able to hear, while nobody else does and their flashlights have appeared to be malfunctioning and turning on and off by themselves while in the area, yet then return to their normal working order right after leaving.
