As you turn to the right, you will cross a little concrete bridge. This goes over one of the primary water sources for Pine Hill Lake. The lake is fed primarily from rain water run off from the City of Mason Golf Center and neighboring subdivisions (D. Allen, personal communication, March 16, 2018). . This is one reason why it is important to be careful what chemicals are going on your lawn and down the storm drain. One thing you can do to help is to use a carwash rather than washing your car in your drive way. Another is to limit your fertilizer and other lawn chemicals to the absolute minimum you need – that will save you money and help keep our lake clean (US EPA, 2017).
