Buffalo Billiards began its life as the Missouri Hotel here in Austin. It first opened back in 1862. It was run as a boarding house and was one of the most popular spots of the time. It was known to be the hangout for cowboys. There are even rumors that it was operated as a brothel from time to time. Throughout the life of this building, there have been many whispers about spirits that live there. No one really knows who the spirit is, but the staff calls him Fred. he is known to prank people and thus has led many people to investigate a little bit more about him.
