Born in Italy, Concetta DiGiorgio Meshotto lived in Chicago and Nashville before coming to Murfreesboro in 1916. By 1930, she was a widow and proprietor of the Busy Bee Cafe at this location. Son Dominick and his wife, Rose Culotta Meshotto, ran the cafe from 1937-1946. The daughter of Italian immigrants, Rose was born in Pennsylvania and later lived in Birmingham, Alabama.
