This beach is located next to the Golden Beach which is directly connected. It is also called Cafetria Old Beach because it existed prior to land reclamation in the area. The artifically created Golden Beach suffers from constant sand loss which must be frequently restored. This poses a serious environmental problem. The view from Cafeteria Beach is great. It is possible to see the airport, Lantau, the Gold Coast Hotel and Castle Peak. It has a public toilet and some facilities for swimming, although less than adjacent beaches. It is also possible to barbecue in the existing facilities.
