The Capybara is the world’s largest rodent. It spends most of its time in or around water. The high position of their eyes, ears, and nostrils, as well as their webbed toes make them perfectly equipped for the water. A shiny black gland on the bridge of their nose, called a morillo, secretes a white substance. Capybaras rub this substance on plants to both mark their territory and to attract mates.
