Created By: Monterey State Historic Park
502 Pierce St. (1851)
Built by Francisco Pinto, the house was bought by the de la Torre family in 1862. The de la Torre family lived in this adobe for over 50 years, through several generations. Myron Oliver, a local artist and founder of the Monterey History and Art Association, bought the adobe in 1924. He renovated the structure and added the large, rounded window on the north wall.
